Dear Alison

‘The poetry of the earth is never dead’.. Keats ‘On the Grasshopper and Cricket’ Sonnet XV

We have a charming house library adjacent to my apartment where I chanced on the Keats’ edition 1800’s late, very fragile, but with patina.

I suppose Geo Fox in his travels must have been transported by the beauty and mix of counties and peoples he passed.

His inspired remark is still full of appeal:

..that your carriage and life may preach..

walk cheerfully answering that of God in everyone..

Journals 1656

Geo Fox’ remark again is engaging when I think of QF&P chapter on ‘Personal Journey’ with its subsections:

Youth

Knowing and accepting ourselves

Living a full life

Creativity

Getting older

Death

Suffering and healing

The pandemic far from inflicting restrictions has enlarged my email and reading tenfold; the intellectual satisfaction and challenge are as extensive.

I’m sure for many this must be so too.

Best wishes

Christophe
